In Northern Cyprus, how the preferences of the individuals vary in their time, especially in terms of gender, age group, education level, the social media application preferred by the individual and how many hours they spend daily in this social media application, the individual’s social media, the positive or negative relationship between usage reasons and social media addiction and leisure time were analysed. In order to obtain how the preferences of individuals vary in their free time especially during the pandemic a quantitative method was used. The positive or negative relationship between usage reasons and social media addiction and leisure time was analsed by comparing frequencies. The data obtained from the participants included in the study were statistically analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 26.0 data analysis program.
