human resources. In internship, interns’ external job characteristics and internal
work value are the main factors of their future career selection and development.
This study conducted a questionnaire survey on interns of the tourism and leisure
department in technological and vocational schools of Taiwan, in order to evaluate
the relationship among job characteristics, work value, and job performance in
internship from the perspective of interns. A total of 500 questionnaires were
distributed, there were 445 valid samples, for a valid return rate of 89%. The
results suggested that interns’ job characteristics have partially significant difference
