Abstract:

The abandonment issue must be approached depending on the child`s age, on his family and his own medical status, and the last but not least, on the functionality of certain institutions. Such an approach helps to identify the most efficient social services for preventing the abandonment, services which are guided by the families needs. 

Comentarii:

This article is presentation of causes for abandonment the children and the early identification the risk of abandonment in families in crises. This was presented at the International Conference PROPHYLACTICS OF CHILD ABANDONMENT: PROBLEMS, OBSTACLES AND LESSONS LEARNED organized by National Committee For Child Protection from Government of Kazakhstan, Unicef Kazakhstan and Women`s League of Creative Initiative (22-23 November, 2006, Astana, Kazakhstan)
